Caldy Baan

The brief

Caldy Baan came to Arden Strata at short notice after another contractor withdrew due to the level of detail and the scale of the high-level works involved. We were recommended for the project because of our attention to detail and experience with technically demanding luxury homes.

The property included a remarkable leisure complex centred around a 25m x 8m swimming pool, creating a standout feature within an already exceptional home. The pool area required specialist cement board installation, taping, and jointing to achieve the flawless surfaces needed for Venetian plastering.

Design features

• A 25m x 8m swimming pool within the leisure complex created a dramatic focal point.
• A 9-metre-high entrance hall, vaulted bedrooms, circular bathrooms, and coffered ceilings gave the home a distinctive architectural character.
• The principal suite featured 5-metre-high ceilings and direct access to a balcony.
• Complex curved walls and high-level plastering demanded specialist skill and precision throughout.

Our contribution

Our team delivered internal SFS walls to support timber joists for loft storage, formed circular walls for the bespoke principal ensuite, and completed the plastering throughout the property. Despite the challenges created by the height and complexity of the works, we maintained the quality of finish required across every area of the home.

The project was completed on schedule and within the agreed budget. Caldy Baan remains a truly unique home and a rewarding project that highlights Arden Strata's ability to deliver exceptional results on technically complex schemes.
